Missions and Outreach Vision

Global Missions Task Force

Its Vision: To bring glory to Christ through global missions partnerships which exist to advance His kingdom among the nations, in from Philadelphia and to the world and back.+

Its Mission: To assist New Life Philadelphia in its global mission by:

1) Cultivating global missions partnerships including:

  • Evaluating and strengthening existing partnerships
  • Approving and developing new partnerships
  • Overseeing ongoing partnerships
  • Linking with and learning from global missions agencies, as appropriate and necessary, such as (including but not limited to) World Harvest Mission and Mission to the World.

2) Establishing and managing a global missions fund to support these partnerships by:

  • Pursuing funding sources from both inside and outside of New Life Philly
  • Deciding how funds will be spent
  • Managing and accounting for the funds
  • Overseeing and nurturing the relationships with contributors

3) Encouraging some involvement of every New Lifer in these global mission partnerships by (including but not limited to):

  • Providing teaching on global missions
  • Requesting prayer for global missions
  • Requesting financial contributions for global missions
  • Providing opportunities for short-term missions trips
  • Providing opportunities to host global missions partners
  • Supporting the exchange of cross-cultural missions ideas

Its Membership and Accountability: The Global Missions Task Force shall be made up of members in good standing of New Life Church Philadelphia, whose names are approved by the Session. These members shall serve two-year renewable terms. The Task Force shall operate under the general oversight of the Session through regular reports, in a timely fashion that will allow the Session to review key decisions before they are implemented.
